What it means to be healthy? – HEAL 2 Interactive workshop

Sighisoara, 31.08.2017 – Our volunteers from project HEAL 2 made a workshop dedicated to health and well-being. They shared their personal stories and put a lot of effort to make their final workshop amazing and meaningful. Main goal of the workshop was to introduce best ways how to balance mind, body and spirit.

Learning new things like how to sew your pants, make fire or kill cockroaches can be one of the options. Meditation can clear your mind but you shouldn’t forget your things in the middle of nowhere because it can make you stressed. Let go of old ideas and change your perspective, it can make you happier then you’ve ever been.

Your body needs 2 litres of water every day, especially if you had 2 of wine the day before. Alcohol kills your brain cells but water can help to wash them out. You need to stay active and move, go dance in the middle of street if that’s the only thing you want to do. And, of course, meditate, just maybe don’t do it in the middle of the street.

Your spirit can be lifted when you are around those who you love, they might be weird, crazy and lost people but love is all that counts. Trust your gut and let people in, they can surprise you. Spend time outside and connect with nature, or at least pet a bear.

Being healthy means being in balance with yourself. You can have unhealthy habits and still be a healthy person, your thoughts can change the way you look and see the world. Have a heartfelt conversation with a friend by a glass of wine and go for a run the next morning. Love yourself and take care of your mind, body and spirit.

Or have a beer, smoke a cigarette, and forget about it. Ignorance is bliss.
