What is European Voluntary Service ???

With the Erasmus+ program young people have a chance to develop their skills and make a difference through European Voluntary Service (EVS).

Young people commit full-time to voluntary work in a foreign country within or outside of the European Union. Through EVS they will be able to develop solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance amongst themselves. They will also strenghten social cohesion and promote active citizenship.

Evidence of their learning experience is given through the Youth Pass. EVS will also provide a volunteer with free board and lodging, insurance cover and a grant for the duration of the project they participate in. Those who work for more than 2 months can get additional support to learn and test their knowledge of the language used during their project.

Participants have to be 17-30 years old and can choose to go abroad for 2 to 12 months.
